Poyo On My Head

She's gruff, stoic, rather "manly" in most ways... but also loves her adorable daughter digimon and isn't shy about showing it. Pretty much the archetypical "big tough guy with cute sidekick that s/he dotes upon" deal. Like Barret and Marlene, or Mori and Honey!
Hard to explain the personality I've thought up for this character. Uhh. Well.. like Yu + Dojima from Persona 4 mashed together, with a large dose of Haruhi from Ouran and the tititular character from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro. Possibly also Cloud. And then throw on a noir comic coat of paint. Like I said, hard to explain! XD
I'm not sure whether she's a secret agent for a Hypnos-esque anti-digimon group (they're more benevolent and just want to keep digimon out of the world instead of destroying them, at least in theory- there's moral dilemmas and slippery slopes..) Or else she's a private eye handling digimon-related cases while that secret agent group keeps trying to scout her and she keeps saying no. In any case, she has kind of a rivalry/bromance with the Yamaki-figure (I think his name shall be Mr. Castle) and basically exists to troll him.
Her poyomon's name is Lottie and the story's mostly about Single Parent Adventures raising the lil cutie into a patamon and beyond, while all that boring fate of the world crap happens in the background XD Chosen hero, schmozen schmero! Who cares? XD (Not a spoiler at all: she gets dragged into it anyway, against her will XD)
Oh and she's got a floating TV butler guy named Wedge and they also have a bromance. (A more friendly one, with less "I despise everything you stand for. And yer mom." XD But still a lot of that. Jack expresses friendship through insults and occasional gambling metaphors.)
Hobbies: making up words, smoking (lollipops now she's got a kid mon to look after), thinking about boobies when she's supposed to be working. (She expected this glamourous career to contain more of those. Also, money. Money would be nice.)

Working on a new style for faces, since its become uncomfortably apparant that my default human eyes look bland and expressionless compared to whenever I draw stuff out of the norm like patamon eyes, or my character Jayus
Also they're so frackin' big and weirdly shaped that usually they take up the whole face. I can never draw characters with beauty marks like this because there's no ROOM, and it limits the mouth's expressions too when its like my charries all have no goddamn cheekbones.
Honestly, I've only been keeping those eyes (and the resulting face shape) so long out of nostalgic attatchment and "well, they're unique"
So, yeah, started looking at tutorials about drawing eyes. Stuff may be a bit weird for a while while I try and apply le new skills, but hopefully it'll look better in the end.
Also, this is supposed to be a "swinging coat over the shoulder" pose but it failed. I still need to learn how to draw fabric physics XD
