Most noticeable changes: he's been aged up and has more voluminous hair. Or rather, I'm now more capable of drawing older people, so I changed him back to the original idea I had. (And I also learned how to actually draw dreadlocks, instead of drawing weird cardboard starfish hair that apparantly has no regard for gravity.)
In addition, I fiddled around with the proportions of his cariacatured body to make him chubbier with long arms and short legs. (Which you can't see in this pic anyway XD) I kinda think that thin arms look really cute with his massive comedy yaoi hands, it's a fun contrast!
Its kinda hard to make people look old on a face that's just a circle with dots. So I tried to do some kind of saggy wrinkle cheeks and I dunno if it actually looks old or not.

About the character: Wesley Tate is a mildly flambouyant elderly college art teacher. Oh, and also secretly the demonic avatar of Death, Lord Jayus. Not that that makes him a bad person!

He likes to teach his classes primarily through field trips and other practical lessons rather than textbooks. The usual plan is for the class to grab cameras and go for a jog together, gathering research photographs of inspirational things while Wesley rambles on about philosophy, historical trivia and interesting colourschemes on mailboxes as they pass by XD
He believes that art is all about emotion, opinion and creativity- rather than there being just one standard for "perfect art". And he gives demerits to people who deliver cliche answers word-for-word from the textbook. To him, that's a sign of a lazy student who just memorized facts and didn't truly understand the principles behind them. Heck, he gives bonus points to those who pipe up and start a classroom discussion over parts of the book that they disagree with!
He's surprisingly good at his job because of his passion and determination to make things fun. His idea that he should be teaching his students global life skills that they can use in the future, rather than just trying to ensure everyone passes their tests and nothing more. And it doesn't hurt that all his silly rambling teaches the students all kinds of miscellaneous offtopic facts and skills. (It's often said that he's unofficially trying to compensate for all the missing school departments that the budget can't afford. Philosophy class, debate club, field trips, etc. So the students have developed a habit of calling it Everything Class instead of Art Class XD)

When he's not teaching classes, he's chilling in the underworld being a giant spider dragon, hanging with his BFF Rushal (the holy eternal knight destined to kill him), and eating icecream-topped cheesecake together while dancing to Abba.
Or sometimes he actually does his job XD Roaming the earth collecting dead guys to deliver to the other side, and granting wishes to the occasional lucky person.... in exchange for their soul.
But mostly it's the go-karting and music concerting and clothes shopping and snack fooding with his mortal enemy.
